Propuesta de producto ecoturístico en la comunidad indígena el Banxú, Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo

Abstract

El concepto de ecoturismo toma auge dentro de la actividad turística en su modalidad de turismo alternativo, como parte de las respuestas de una demanda, que cada vez con más frecuencia, busca un mayor contacto con la naturaleza y con el entorno social y cultural. Este tipo de turismo, más activo y con mayor interés por las expresiones de la cultura propia de la zona o región, requiere de una oferta más flexible y adecuada al entorno. La presente investigación analiza el desarrollo de la actividad turística y realiza una propuesta de un centro ecoturístico en la comunidad El Banxu, en el municipio de Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo. Éste se estructura por un consejo turístico, un cuerpo de auditores externos, (comisiones) y un centro de educación ambiental con dos tipos principales de actividades: senderismo y talleres. El principal mercado al que se dirige son los estudiantes de educación básica del estado. El centro ecoturístico se recomienda vinculado a un circuito para que sea reconocido fácilmente por los visitantes. Es de vital importancia destacar que esta es una zona de alta montaña, localizada en una Región Terrestre Prioritaria, considerada como tal por la CONABIO, por su alta densidad de tipos de vegetación rica en endemismos, así como su fauna, en especial de anfibios; por lo tanto el senderismo es la única actividad que permite recorrerla y realizar algún tipo de interacción con el entorno, razón por la cual dicha actividad es nodal en esta propuesta. Por otra parte al atractivo que representa la naturaleza, se suman las manifestaciones culturales y el folklore, por lo que se considera pertinente, a partir de ellas, implementar actividades complementarias que coadyuven en la preservación de la identidad, en reducir la migración y coadyuven al arraigo de las nuevas generaciones.

Nowadays the concept of ecotourism gets summit inside the tourist activity in its modality of alternative tourism, as well as people wishes the contact with the nature each time with more frequency, which brings by itself an active tourist; who looks for sensations and is interested in the interaction with the environment. The current research analyzes the development of the tourist activity and offers a proposal of an Ecotourism Centre in the Banxú community, in the municipality of Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo. This one is structured by a tourist council, external auditors, (commissions) and a centre of environmental education that manages two principal types of activities: hiking and workshops. The target is basic education students of the state. The Ecotourism centre is recommended to be linked to a circuit in order that it can be easily reminded by the visitors. It is important to emphasize that this is a high mountain zone, located in a Terrestrial Priority Region, considered as such by CONABIO, due to its high density of endemic vegetation types, as well as its fauna, especially amphibians; therefore hiking is the only activity that allows to cross it and to have some interaction with the environment, that is the reason why hiking have notable consideration in the proposal. The research shows evidences of approximation towards the community, both personnel and professional. It was evaluated the tourist potential and tourist vocation too. It is important to emphasize cultural manifestations and the folklore located at several natural sites like attractions. It is considered pertinent to implement an economic complementary activity because of multiple reasons, between them stand out: To preserve the identity, to reduce the migration and to establish the new generations. It is observed that the community has lived a change in its idiosyncrasy adopting the tourist activity as complementary without altering the natural means.
