Propuesta de intervención para la consolidación de elementos pétreos de la capilla abierta de Tlalmanalco

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente documento de investigación abarca parte de una de las épocas más significativas y trascendentales en la historia de México durante el siglo XVI: la conquista y la evangelización de los pueblos novohispanos, para lo cual fue necesario la construcción de grandes edificaciones monásticas que permitieran a los misioneros transmitir la religión católica a la población indígena, dicho objetivo se logró principalmente, mediante la creación de las “Capillas Abiertas”, por lo que la materia de estudio de esta tesina es la consolidación para la conservación y preservación de una de las capillas más suntuosas e importantes tanto histórica, artística y escultóricamente: “La Capilla Abierta de Tlalmanalco”. ABSTRACT: This research document covers part of one of the most significant and transcendental periods in the history of Mexico during the 16th century: the conquest and evangelization of the New Spanish peoples, for which it was necessary to build large monastic buildings that would allow the missionaries transmit the Catholic religion to the indigenous population, this objective was achieved mainly through the creation of the "Open Chapels", so the subject of study of this thesis is the consolidation for the conservation and preservation of one of the chapels most sumptuous and important both historically, artistically and sculpturally: "The Open Chapel of Tlalmanalco".
